Anthony attended the University of Manchester and graduated with an LL.B (Hons) 2:1 Degree in 2005. He completed the Legal Practice Course in 2007 at BPP in Manchester and was awarded a Distinction. Anthony joined Robert Lizar in 2006 and initially worked in the Immigration Department. He started his training contract here in July 2007. He has experience in a number of areas including housing law and prison law, but since January 2008 has worked in the Mental Health Department on a full-time basis. He was admitted as a solicitor in July 2009. Anthony regularly represents clients before Mental Health Review Tribunals and Hospital Managers’ hearings. He is currently involved in false imprisonment cases and complaints against hospitals. He also undertakes work involving mental capacity-related issues.
Anthony is a member of the Law Society’s specialist Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel.
