Police Station

In most criminal investigations, it is likely that whichever Agency is conducting the investigation, will want interview you under caution.

Interviews are very tactical and we urge any Client not to engage in an in terview without that independent legal advice to whcih they are entitled.

Our job at any interview, is to assess the strength of the evidence against you and to advise you privately before the interview itself.

This questioning can put you under considerable pressure. The interview is normally tape recorded and will be used in evidence.

We will clarify your account with you and tell you how best to deal with any questioning. You do have choices and don’t have to answer questions if it is not in your interests.

We will accompany you during the interview itself and will prevent you from incriminating yourself when there is no other clear evidence for the Investigators to rely on. We can also advise you on the suitability of any alternatives to formal charges – such as Reprimands, and Warnings for Juveniles and Cautions for Adults.

We represent Clients at the Police Station on a private basis or under the Legal Aid Scheme which means our services are effectively free to the Client. Our costs are met by the Legal Aid Agency.
