Motoring Law

Many of us rely upon our driving licence for both our employment and our everyday lifestyle. If you are under investigation for a road traffic offence, or have received a summons to attend Court, you ought to obtain expert legal advice as soon as possible.

We have a team of experienced lawyers, who cover work across the UK, and who can provide you with initial advice specific to your circumstances whatever they may be - common examples include, but are not restricted to;

  • driving under the influence of alcohol
  • driving under the influence of drugs
  • failing to provide a specimen
  • using a mobile phone
  • careless driving
  • dangerous driving
  • failing to stop or report an accident
  • tachograph offences

If you wish our lawyers can go on to present any factual and technical legal arguments on your behalf in Court - thus maximising your prospects of achieving the best possible outcome.

 If you have committed an offence then all is not lost. We may identify a legal argument known as 'special reasons' relating to the reasons behind the commission of the offence which may allow you to retain your driving licence.

Any driver facing disqualification from driving faces 'hardship' but if that hardship would be 'exceptional' then the Magistrates can sometimes be persuaded to exercise a discretion to impose penalty points over and above the normal 'totting' limit of 12 - but still allow a person to retain their licence.

As with all other matters we will use all our skills in our efforts to secure you the best possible outcome.

Legal Aid is no longer available for representation in most Road Traffic Matters, but you should not allow yourself to be held to ransom.

We offer quality advice and representation, both in person or in writing, However, our rates are extremely competitive.

Call us on 0161 227 7777 and we will discuss a fixed fee. You can pay in installments to help spread the cost.
